Robin Dickinson called the meeting to order at 11:00 A.M.and introduced Board members and guest speakers, Rod Taylor, Vice President of Guest Services and Cheryl Marsh of National Park Service.
Rod Taylor spoke briefly about working together. Because of COVID, there have not been personnel to enforce rules. This will be changing. He asked homeowners to report violations they see to the office. Guest Services will continue to upgrade the electrical system this year in phases to impact as few people at a time as possible.
Cheryl Marsh is currently National Park Service liaison to concessionaires. She handed out a sheet that listed several rules pertinent to homeowners. NPS is continuing the process of updating park rules. Ms Marsh outlined the trailer inspection process. This process is written in the rules that all owners have been given. She also discussed rules concerning vehicle parking and storage in RV Village and proposals they are considering. The current rules are in the documents available to all homeowners.
Homeowners reported areas of concern. These included the intersection at 14th and 15th Streets; the lack of lighting at night; the lack of appraisers; and potholes. Street lighting is restricted because of National Park guidelines. Appraisers need to be certified in personal property appraisal and be registered with Lake Mead National Recreation Area. Guest Services is responsible for the roads within the Village. They will not be repaved. If there are potholes, members were asked to report them to Rod Taylor. He will direct Maintenance to fill them in.
